dry sand or live sand

Ok guys getting close to seeing up my 105 what do u recommend starting with I will be using live rock out of my current tank and also dry rock all help will be greatly appreciated
 
All sand and rock become live...
If your seeding you can use either or. I used dry live and wet live. But being as i seeded both times cycling was quick.
Are you looking to fast cycle or?

I will be seeding the tank regardless of what I go with
 
I always do live i just feel like it cycles not only faster but with less headaches in between
 
If you're using established rock, I'd skip using live sand. I would do mostly dry/dead sand and mix in a bag of live sand throughout the sandbed to help seed the sand as well.
 
Dry sand!! Plus I'm sure a few local reefers wouldn't mind sharing a cup or 2 of live sand to help seed your tank :becky: Plus your LR will play a big role with the seeding also
 
I've always used dry sand. If you're using rock in a current setup you'll be fine with dry sand. Your rock will seed the sand.
