Electrical question

I just ordered 3 12V 120mm pc fans to keep the humidity down in my stand. I do not want to have three separate cords for all three fans however. Can these all be run together on one plug?

The fans are .36 A. So do I need a 12V plug that's rated for more than 0.36A×3 (> 1.08)?

Also if that's the case do I just run all the positives together and all the negatives together?

Are they 12v or 120v?

If they are 12v how are you going to supply the power for that? I run 2 of these in my canopy one pulling air in and one pulling the air out. I have them weird together. They are very powerful.

I have a 40W AC adapter that's 12 -19V DC output rated at 1.2A

Just splice any 1amp 12vdc powersupply and run the three fans in a parallel configuration.

if you want you can go to Frys and pick up a plug that fits the 12vdc powersupply and solder the fans directly to it.
