Any one have any input on corner eshopps frag rack.. Couple questions.

-- Can I move the frag rack up and down, when needed?

-- What if I would like to move it away from the corner when I would like to clean the glass ..

Or if you any one can recommend a better corner frag rack..

Thanks

check out the blackrockreef.com

I've had a few of their racks and they're all very nice and good quality.

I have had eshopps magnets rust, they are enclosed in an acrylic casing instead of rubberized. I have had both and much prefer the blackrock product. The magnets are also much stronger.

I have a couple of these guys and they aren't very strong and cannot handle too much weight. I have knocked them off a few times.. They are moveable to another corner for cleaning. Also the holes are small and will not accommodate the wider frag plugs. I drilled mine to accommodate the larger plugs..

All of mine had the magnets rust out in a years time. I would not recommend purchasing these frag racks. They are not durable. When I contacted the manufacturer showing the pictures they did not offer to do anything about it. I had 4 different ones including one or two corner racks.

I had the straight rack at one time. The magnets are weak and the rack only fits their plugs unless you drill.

Alrighty then thank you guys.. I guess I am definitely not buying an Eshopps frag rack. Now just have to find another company that makes a corner magnetic rack..

Is there a reason it has to be a corner rack? The smaller blackrock reef racks are probably close to the same dimensions if you put two of them butting up in a corner.

Because I have a 60 gallon cube and I think it would be the best option to not look as bulky.. Im not sure.. Never had a frag rack before.. I might just have to go with the straight one

I would go with the MR3S over an eshopps corner. You can stick it in the corner, it would be less bulky, and would actually hold more frags since you can use any frag plugs. The MR3M is nice too, I have one in my 20g on occasion and it doesn't get in the way at all.

Corrner frag racks dont seem to me like they dont hold alot of plugs. I have 2 blackrockreef.com ones and love them.

You can always build one to your liking out of some acrylic and a mag float.
