ETR's 75G (mostly) Nem Tank

No, I'm not a communist..
Figured I'd share what's been keeping my attention recently. I decided that the 75 was just too mall to have a decent fowlr but I still wanted something low maintenance so I decided on have a softie tank. I have 5 bta's and a maxi-mini, a hairy mushroom, some other shrooms, green toadstool and some green palys. Most of the fish in the tank came from my 90, which is currently empty. The acans and clam will go back into the 90 after it I start it up again. Notice the clowns are hosting in the duncans and none of the nems. Stupid clowns.

The tank is stocked with:

Yellow Tang
Fame Angel
Flame Hawk
Bartlet's Anthias
Bangaii Cardinalfish
2 Occ Clowns
2 Firefish

The tank has only been running for a couple months. The plan is to add a few more nems and let them grow out. I'll probably add a few more softies lower in the tank where they'll be safe.

Wheres your sand . It needs sand lol

No sand...I went for a very low maintenance tank... running a JNS Alpha 2 Biopellet Reactor and GAC. I do a 5G wc every 3 weeks (or more) just to get any detritus that the cuc didn't get. I have a fairly large serpent star and lots of hermits that keep the bottom clean.

Looks great man, love the aquascape, but have to agree about the sand, some Reef Flakes would really look great.

I have 60 lbs of reef flakes sitting around waiting for the 90G reboot. I'm waiting to get the eel I sold out of the 90G (next Sunday) then I can clean the tank, rescape and cycle it ;)
There should be a little left over for a thin layer in this tank...we shall see...

Very nice. How many tanks do you have

I have my main 90G which I'm starting over soon. It will only be SPS, nothing else except some acans and clams. I already mounted that Giesemann Spectra (MH/T5 combo) I got from you and can't wait for the tank to be stable enough for sticks. I have a handful of sticks in friends' tanks waiting for me to reclaim them ;) I'm also having a custom sump/fuge built for it. Basically, I'm starting over and doing everything the way I wish I did years ago.

This 75 is in my home office where I work and I just broke down my 2.5G pico this past weekend. I plan to restart that shortly and raise a pair of Booyah's piccassos until they are big enough to go into the 90 and not get thrashed in the flow.

Very nice your going to love that fixture I know I did and still do I actually was thinking of buying another. lol

looks nice. of course the clowns r hosting in the the duncans and not the bta lol. I just started a bare bottom tank a few months ago and im liking it a lot.
