Euphyllias like to touch

It might be common knowledge to all, but I thought I would report the observation. I thought it was my imagination, but my Hammer is extending (select) tentacles during high flow periods and against the current just so that he keeps his tentacles on his frogspawn girlfriend.

So, keep your Euphyllias together. I would like to hear about inter coral jungle love, too. Growing an acro on a monti cap? That would make colonies self- adjusting to space requirements if the monti can hold it up.

its not really love .. they are trying to sting each other but they seems to do no harm .. place some other coral may be an sps around that hammer .. you would see the same kind of love but the sps would be dead hahahaa

i have hammer touching green torch brusing against green frogspawn brushing agains gold torch .. they are all fine .. except on the other side that torch killed half of my lepto

Many euphyllia will also kill each other. It is luck of the draw. My friends gold octospawn will kill anything it touches, euphyllia or otherwise.

then it'd be tough love

I think I read corals from the same genus won't sting each other, or at least they can tolerate and thrive being placed close together.

There is a lot of "love" happening in my tank. Setosa killing digi, monti killing other monti, acro killing monti, acro killing acro, etc. I just put a bunch of kalk paste on some of the more aggressive contact points so the killing is held back a little or at least so I get to decide who wins (and it ain't you encrusting monti
