Extension Tubes

Got my extension tubes today and I think I like them better than the macro filters I was using. The big difference is that you can use your zoom to find the right focal length, but cannot zoom in. The tubes do the zooming. With the filters, you use the right filter to find your focal length, and the zoom actually zooms in while staying focused.

Nice shots! What camera are you using?

Thanks, I didn't adjust the LEDs or correct the white balance on the ones above. I imagine I can get much better photos if I ramp up my white LEDs before messing around with the new tubes.

Here is what I use:

Lumix GF3, and a 14mm lens for wider shots:

Lumix 45-150 lens for macro shots:

I just go these automatic extension tubes. They have contact points so it still allows the camera to talk to the lens and use the autofocus. Only $28:
