Feeding

I was just wondering how often people feed their fish. I was at the Shed Aquarium yesterday and all their fish looked so fat and healthy and then I came home and saw mine and thought to myself that I must be doing something wrong.

So with that said I'm just wondering how often and what types of food you guys are using. If you add anything else to the food that would be great to know also.

I feed twice a day. I just add garlic additive to help their systems. Just remember to know your system. If you do not have a system capable of taking all the nutrients you may not want to overfeed.

i feed two to three times a day usually in morning i throw some pellets before lights turn on then around 430 they get a mix mysis brine with spiruna and large mysis for the wrasse they enjoy smashing it off the rock. i add garlic at second feeding three to four times a week and sometimes they get third feeding of flake or pellets again nori goes in every other day

I feed three times a day.Morning frozen food (different type every day),midday dry marine pellets, evening two cubes of frozen cyclopeeze. This stuff is great for fish and corals.I also throw some live blackworms couple of times a week as a treat for my fish.

Thanks for the input. Everyone is talking about pellets. What type of pellets do you use? I've never used them before.

I throw a pinch of NS Thera 0.5mm in my tank anytime I go by it. A chunk of Rods Original 2-3 times a week, and a cube of PEMysis once or twice a week. Nori for the tangs and blennies whenever I notice them picking at the rocks for algae. Fish are all plump and happy.

Twice a day. Pellets and flake in the morning and home made frozen at night. I feed heavy to the point that people freak out when they see me feed my tank. I have a very large clean up crew and do vodka dosing.
