I need some new filter socks and the ones I want are only at Caribbean Filters. They have a $35 min order and I'm only at $20. They make every imaginable filter sock at very low prices.

which filter is better Polyester or nylon? and how about micron rating 150 or 200?
I need some.

Polyester felt filters better, but clogs faster and is a pain to clean with hydrogen peroxide and the washer maching. Nylon just needs a rinse under the facet. I use felt now and I'm switching to nylon. Nylon is less efficient so you may need to go down a micron rating. Example if you use 200 micron felt, you may want 150 micron nylon.

The smaller the micron rating the smaller the particles it catches making your water clearer. Also the smaller the micron rating, the faster it clogs becuase it catches more stuff. I use 100 micron felt and I'm going to switch to 75 micron nylon.
