First Saltwater Fishies

We were chatting it up in the chatroom tonight and got on the topic of first saltwater fishies and I thought it would be interesting to know what other's chose as their first fish....and why?

My first fish was a trio of tiny volitans lionfish when I was 16. I loved them to death and I thought they were gorgeous with their long flowing fins and curious stares. They were like my own little set of Vegas Showgirls!!

Of course, it didn't take long for them to outgrow my tank with their voracious appetites and my constant need to want to watch them devour feeder goldfish.

My first was a black damsel. I thought it was a simple, yet cool looking little fish. I've always wanted to get another one, for memory's sake, but then I remember that they're a-holes...so I don't.

Mine was a Marine Betta that came with my 75 gallon, my first tank. He was named Piscis, and he was the most intelligent fish I've ever had. He died of mysterious causes shortly before my Tank Plague of March 2011. I miss that fish... :(

blue green chromis . place who sold me my first set up sold them with tank to help cycle. still love those lil fish

Trio of green chromis. It soon turned into a duo... had them for a while, then they got kinda aggressive. I think i basically tore down my tank to get them out.

3 Yellow clown gobies......which led to my underground goby fight club. They duked it out and are now cool with each other. Got them because buddy recommended em, much personality and very funny little dudes.

Wow, this going back in time but with my first salt tank I had 3 damsels, a three stripe, a domino, and a blue. Back then you added damsels to cycle because we didn't know any better :brick:

My first real addition was this guy:

My father had a tank with predators so I really loved triggers and bought the one above. Next addition was a black volitan lionfish

I bought my first tank so I could keep ocellaris, with it I added some of those yellow tail damsels. Reefs came years later.
