Float Switch / Water Level Switch

Hey Guys,

I am new to the hobby so forgive me in advance but have any of you ever used these types of switches to control pumps for ATO systems or mixing stations ,and if so any luck? Looking on Ebay they are only a few dollars a piece. I am very familiar with the electronic side of things so the actual wiring is of little concern to me more interested in the reliability of the mechanical portion.
