First SW tank build
So i started this tank about 4 months ago but never started a tread for it. It is a fluval edge 6 gallon. Running the hob filter with only the filter foam in it, one nano powerhead, about 6lb of LS, 7lb of LR, lighting is the stock leds. Current stock includes,( cuc 7 astrea snails, 2 nassarius snails, 3 zebra hermits, 1 peppermint shrimp), 1 yellow watchmen goby, and 2 clowns. Thats it for the livestock
Currently doing weekly 1/2 gallon water changes, salt level maintained at 1.024.
Developing a little bit of red algae in the back of the tank, have reduced my light cycle from 1pm to 8pm to 2pm to 8pm noticed a slight reduction in the algae
Next up will be corals possibly considering some xenia, frogspawn, zoas/palys, possibly green candycane.

Like i said this is my first sw tank, still a newb, so feel free to let me know what you think
also have a 75g gallon that i'm working on

Ya there nice little tanks, only downside is there hard to get your hand into. Most likely am going to build a stand, custom square sump, cut the rear plastic for an overflow and acrylic box and plumb through the original stand were the hob is. That is once i get my main tank up and running.

Looking good, seems like you did your homework and are taking it slow . You said you are planing on doing corals right? Are you going to change your light?

I have, figured i would save myself a good amount of money and time if i did alot of research before starting up a tank. I might replace the light, my buddy has been making led lights(topenjoin on these forums), so i might have him make me a better light for it in the near future. Ive been told that the leds that come with it are enough to do most soft corals could be misinformed though.

I considered that too and would have rather done that, but i'm kinda limited on space so its gotta run stand alone in a different place in the room to far away to plumb both together.
