I do a 6 week process and I really should do 8 put I get anxious to put them in my DT. Upon arrival I acclimate with a dip of coral rx, then the following week I dip in revive and the 3rd week with bayer. I then start again the same three dips the following three weeks. I have a 30 db tank in the basement with a 6 bulb ati sun power, with power heads and sump with a skimmer, no fish. This process has worked the past 18 months and couldn't do it any other way. Ive had my 120 wiped out from AEFW and I have also lost every fish in my tank because I didn't quarantine anything just dip. I'm lucky to have the space in the basement to have a qt for coral and a qt for fish.
 
Thats some dedication there . Better then my way i just refuse to add any more coral lol
 
Did you put another tank upstairs where this one used to be? I need to set something like this up.

The 150 is in the family room and the 30 you saw in my office went downstairs to quarantine the coral with a 55 gallon qt for the fish. I replaced the 30 that was in my office with a 40 gallon rimmed cube (24x24x18) for softies.

Sorry to hear about the 120 wipe out...

Do you just mix fresh salt water into the QT or use "throw away" water from a water change in the display? Or?

Wonder about the whole "tank has to be mature enough for SPS" babble...

I use throw away from DT when I set up the qt for coral, then fresh water changes.
