Ok. I pulled all the rubble out of my fuge. It filled a 5 gal bucket to the rim. And bottom was full of crap and a disaster waiting to happen. Little background
I got a 55 gal sump used. The drain from my dt goes into the first part of the sump has sock skimmer gfo reactor and heater. Then baffles where the return for the dt and frag tank are. The return to my dt is t off to the 3rd section of the sump my fuge. Also the frag drains in the fuge. The problem is the baffle that separates the fuge is high so the water falls very far and is really loud. So my only option is to have the flow slow. I was going to ditch the fuge all together but got talked out of that for the better. So here I am. I pulled all the rubble out of the bottom. I also added a small Rio to give me some flow in there.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can cut out the baffle separating the fuge. Then I could use a sock on the drain of the frag tank. I'm hoping to find a hob fuge. Also what about having that power head in the fuge good idea?
Heres the fuge aafter cleaning out rubble. I drained all that dirty water out and replaced it. I'm hoping that got a good amount of the crap that was sitting under the rubble
