General Pricing on a RBTA

So, it started with one Rose Bubble Tip Anemone, then I ended up with six. I noticed that some online stores sell these for around $60 to $80 bucks. When I posted on craigslist I mainly get people trying to buy it for around $30 even though I have it listed at $40. What would be a fair price?

I've seen anywhere from PIF, $30 avg, and upwards of $50+...if you're feeling generous, price how you want to. Share the joy :)

In my opinion thats the average price here. LFS have to raise the price up since they have to cover the cost of business operation.

price range varies from the size of the bta.. generally like jay said they range from PIF-$40 and up to $60-$70 for larger btas (but this price range is a little harder to get ppl to buy IMO)

If you can post a pic, that would help members here with estimating the going price for them. It's all based on color and size.

depending on their sizes, I would say $20 for 2-3", $30 for 4-5" and $40 for 6"+......but that's just IMO

unless of course if you got them as a PIF, then I would PIF them myself....if it was me....

Gotcha. If I sell to a LFS they offer around $20-$25. On craigslist, I can ask a few more $$ since most people will have to pay the mark-up prices if they go to a LFS. I'm looking for that happy medium. All proceeds go back towards my tank which seems to need new and exciting additions all the time.

I'm only selling them one at a time. Pretty much when one attaches to the glass and I can nab it. Otherwise, they are attached to the crevices of my LR and are a PITA to remove.

Cool let me know if you grab a couple of them and i'll take em I have a 300 gallon being delivered & set-up 2morrow and a 210 gallon i'm trying to find a nice spot for in my dining room that i'll be adding to daily/weekly

fwiw, i wouldn't add an anemone to to brand new setup....nems need an established aquarium with good stable water conditions....

the $10/inch definitely works as a general rule. If you really want to make more money and risk more sell them on ebay. I did that when I had my tank. I'd sell them for $60-$80 on ebay. I did have one die on me though as it was over 100 degrees in when it arrived in Texas and I had to refund the guy including the very expensive shipping costs. Also keep in mind, shipping things like this is highly frowned upon at UPS and FEDEX. If you can get $30 for one that is fist size when open you should be happy. I ended up taking mine to the fish store because it eliminated the hassle of selling them and meeting with people.
