I have since been getting my RO from grocery and LFS's, but I'm am about to purchase a RO/DI unit today. First i want to know what you think of this unit

Then, would this be acceptable for hook up:
I have don't have a utilities sink that i can hook up too, however i have a water heater that i can tap into the cold water supply but the RO container would have to go through the wall into the garage because of limited space.

The other and less permanent option is to get a garden hose adapter and use the hose outlet(located in the garage) to use as the supply. My garage only gets to about 38-40 minimum and i can always insulate the unit and hoses. The garden hose outlet is towards the back of the garage located by the water heater wall. As far as the drain. i can drill a hole through the wall and feed the drain hose to the water heater floor drain?????

I have a brs ro/Di unit for sale. Brand new $129. Includes everything needed. Has a garden hose hookup as well. Inline tds meter. Paid $169 and never even hooked it up.

Seems like a great price. I would be concerned about the quality of the filters and membranes, but worst case, you replace them with better ones.

I have my unit next to my washer. Storage is a plastic drum. I tapped off the cold supply for the washer with a garden hose splitter. I ran the drain hose down the drain for the washer. All i do is turn the valve to turn it on or off.

I appreciate your offer, and i am going to sound like a snob, but i avoid driving near/around the city at all cost. I Cannot stand traffic. On weekends i am usually busy with the ether the tank or the house.
Thanks again though!

can I get more info on that brs unit. pics or a link to the exact one so I can read up on it. Maybe I can trade you some corals/anemones for it.
