Glue residue

Hello all ! I peeled the black acrylic sides off my glass tank a while ago and it left diagonal lines where the adhesive was holding the acrylic. It never bothered me because of the placement of my tank, however just bought a house and now where we want the tank that side is first thing you see. Anyone know how to remove those lines from the glass safely? Other side came off easily with a razor blade but not this side :( any suggestions would be great.. Thanks !!!!

Not sure if it will work but i know its safe and always amazed at what it takes off it did remove glue residue from my tiles after i put kitchen floor down

So after trying again..... Realized its stained on the glass, I tried razor blades and everything. Surface is completely smooth. Is there any way to polish it off??????? Maybe polishing wheel with a drill or something?? IDK guys I just want the lines gone..lol Help please

I cant imagine the stain being too deep into the glass so you might be able to sand/polish it away. then again this may turn into a bigger project than you are looking for.

As an idea, maybe if you called a window/glass business. They might know what you can use to get the stain out without scratching the glass. Goof-Off is usually my chemical cleaner of choice but I would not want that stuff inside my tank. Even after washing my hands numerous times I can still smell it.
