Some people even gut the hood and pop in a Radeon.

I personally went with a RapidLED kit and was very satisfied with it... plus I like tinkering with things so gutting the hood and soldering was not a problem for me.

I took the hood off my 29g biocube and got a Kessil A150w over it. I love it.

They are pretty much the same things. I think InTank makes baskets for both. I'd check out craigslist and see if you can find one used if you are interested.

Hey reefjedi82,

You should check out the newer model HQI biocubes. The metal halides are great, but even more great is the no-hood design. It's got a glass lid with an adjustable light housing, and I prefer the overall style compared with some older biocube designs. I've got some pics of mine in the intro that show some of the changes they've made.
