Great day of beach combing, in Maui for the new tank.

Apparently, it is now illegal to take any rock, coral, or even sand from Hawaii. So, back to the ocean it will go. :-(

I watched the Brady Bunch and it's bad luck to take coral and rocks from Hawaii.

I saw Vincent Price's ghost in the bathroom mirror and he said it was totally cool. Plus, I am not going surfing and I have been checking everyone's beds and shoes for tarantulas.

Lucky you, here in Chicago there was a big brawl at the beach (montrose), so the only thing you can find is beer bottles LOL:bender-dance: Maui was extremely beautiful, clean, nice cars everywhere, expensive though (never buy anything from street vendors). I never felt safer from crime, the only dangers were cliffs, sharks, and green turtles. I literally walked out from my hotel room to the beach in 30 steps, past the girls wearing thongs, walked three feet into the water, stuck my head in and saw about 10 different reef fishes without getting my knee caps wet. All the water is protected so don't expect cheap seafood.

Lahaina? Maui ?

I never liked you !!!!!!

Oh too bad, I was smuggling you a rainbow cleaner wrasse, but I let him go. :hahaha:

Don't sweat it, the Brady Bunch Tiki head is firmly planted in my life, you all are safe. You're welcome.

Sorry to hear, but thanks, I guess. :analprobe:

Grabbed some ono, from Costco and even there, it was expensive.

Never even thought of that, but I saw that too, and it would sway me to leave everything there. In The Brady Bunch I trust.

Seriously though, I wasn't trying to be a jerk, I just kinda doubted that it was legal to take rock from the ocean in Hawaii ( or similar places) without a permit of some type.

Didn't take it as such, no worries.

In reality everything is protected there . Is my favorite place . We took the catamaran snorkel trip to half moon bay and stayed at the Grand Wailea for a late Honey moon

We stayed at the Grand Wailea one time, we were like the Beverly Hillbillies in that place. The strip over at Kannapalli was more inviting to my station in life. Definately snorkel over at Molikini or however they spell it.

Well, somehow some very dead bleached coral made it into a suitcase. As well as some rocks from the top of Haleakala's 10,032 foot summit.
