Hey guys I have few frags with green hair algae taking over it frags only nowhere else. i clean it the best I can but its still there, is there and dip treatment for this? or method? thanks

Frickin' hate it when this happens. i now have hair and bubble algae plus some leafy stuff I've never seen before...all from frag plugs

I second Steve's advice, If its on a plug I have scraped it off and taken an emery board to it. If that is the only plastic in the tank it may be the start of a bigger issue. Squash it now while you can.

I had a bad problem with GHA and used the 1:3 H2o2, but also did a 5min dip in saltwater (1.025) as a rinse, the 5mins in Seachem coral dip. My lps and softies had no problems and gha was gone, but I don't have any sps so I'm not sure haw they would react

I used to have a bad hair algae issue and raised my Mag to 1700 with Kent and in a week in disappeared. Not sure why this works but others have tried it and it indeed does work. However, it might sound strange but it has to be Kent Mg.

There was no adverse issues with the corals (LPS, SPS, and softies).
