I'm interested in getting something better than my crap Korilias. Which ones for a 90g with a Seaswirl already giving lots of flow. also, a 50g cube?

I've been hearing quite a few bad stories about those guys, it seems you get what you pay for. Personally I'm waiting for them to mature a little.

i had one of each and love them, only thing ive heard is they may need a bi-yearly cleaning. but for a 1/4 of the price of a vortech its worth it to me. by all means if you have $400 to spend on 1 Vortech go right ahead, it will probably last you longer and it is a better pump with more features, but i can get the same wave effects with the wp 25's & 40's, for a fraction of the cost, im willing to take a chance.

VorTechs should be cleaned too anyways, so that's a non factor. Who actually runs waves though? :O

well, i was really excited for the "waves" when i thought i was going to be running a rimless setup, but, since im not anymore.....idk, lol. i was referring the the control-ability in general though not knocking Vortech at all, im just happy i can get something similar for a fraction of the cost.

Totally understand, and I was very close to pulling the trigger myself. I was in a group buy, but then backed out and someone took my place. I'd also say the Tunze is a closer competitor. I'm actually hoping Tunze lowers their prices to compete, and then I'll be all over it. But it would still probably be cheaper to continuously buy these as they break than to buy Tunze or Vortech.
