harlequin shrimp ?

ok so i love these shrimp but cant cut up a star to feed it but im haveing a out break of those little stars tons of them . so thinking of buying a harlequin shrimp to take care of them. ? is do they get along withe fire shrimp and cleaners or is there gonna be a issue honestly just want it long enough to eat the star pest then get rid of it like i said dont have the heart to feed it any big star fish. but the pest ones suck
 
ove kept harlequin shrimp with two cleaners a fire shrimp and pair of cbs but the tank was a 210 all seemed to habe their spot in the tank dont know if that helps ya

well gives me hope lol . i wish my tank was that big mines on 75 gal guess i could always try see what happens
 
I had a Harlequin shrimp in my 120gal. together with 2 cleaner shrimp and fire shrimp. They got along with no problems. I had a asterina stars outbreak just like you, and he cleaned my tank of them in less than 2 weeks. After that I feed him chocolate chip star every 2-3 weeks.
 
You really don't have that many stars. How about trying to pick them out by hand for a while? They come out at night--use a flashlight.
 
Thats what i thought until i stare real hard most r tiny but have over a hundred no fooling
 
i used to have the same problem. cut down your nutrient levels and your stars will naturally decrease. i stil have quite a few but not enough to warrant a harlequin.

U meen fish poop lol. Im working on that with the shutting down of one tank i still going through what hoing and whats staying it will be way less fish believe me way iver stocked added a second filteation for now till i figure it all out.
