Hello all! Well, I had a nice intro written up, and then hit the back button instead of the submit button... so this will be shorter! Glad I found this community though, I'm looking forward to joining in the fun of keeping and caring for all these marine creatures!
A short bit about me - I'm a total newbie at all of this, having gotten my first tank at the beginning of the year through craigslist! Ended up with a 90g drilled complete with fish! Being the kind of guy I am, I now want to upgrade pretty much everything, and start with a brand new setup (eg - the fish have to go...). I've loved marine-life my entire life, and only recently had the courage to actually maintain a saltwater tank, despite having wanted one since being a kid!
Current Specs and Stock:
Tank: 90g, drilled, 20g sump (thinking of upgrading), random powerheads to upgrade, ProClear Skimmer to upgrade, T5 HO lights (to upgrade when the bulbs dim), and a Mag 950 for the returns.
Stock: Raccoon-faced Butterfly fish (needs a bigger home), Yellow Tang (needs a bigger home), Six-line Wrasse (hear they get aggressive, so also needs a new home), Yellow Damselfish (also could use a new home), Orange Linkia, 4 Turbo Snails, and several red-legged hermits (that I hear eat anemones, and so need a new home). - Yes, I am redo-ing my entire stock minus the linkia! Once I find new homes for these guys of course.
Here's a photo of the tank 1 week post-move, although I am hoping to make several improvements soon! (including a decent amount more live rock)
