Thought I would say hi and tell you all a bit about myself. I've been lurking around for some time now so I thought it was about time I make a few posts.
I have been reefing since 2008 and have had quite a few tanks since then. Started with a 5 gal hex, then a standard 30 gal, a 10 gallon, then a 55 gal. These were all f/o tanks without corals. I kept a trio of dwarf lions( a fuzzy, a zebra and my fav a fu manchu) in the 30 for around 2 years. They all ate frozen and live foods even flakes. I lost them all when I upgraded them to the 55gal something cause a infection and they passes one by one over a 3 day span. Very sad week for sure.
After that I set up a biocube (first real reef) which I upgraded about everything you could think of, quad pc, extra moon lights, adjustable fans etc etc etc. That tank was amazing for 2 years or so. Then I upgraded to a 93 gal cube with a 400 watt dimable ballast and a atb 840 skimmer and a bunch of other bells and whistles. I crashed that tank due to having a baby and lack of time/ funds to maintain a large tank. I took down the cube after a year and bought my biocube back from the same person I sold it to( don't judge me lol) but I added a clip on viper 150 watt mh. I am currently selling that set up and building a 30 gal nuvo. Yeah nanos are my thing I guess.
I live in Japan( aka hammond IN) but I work at fedex in bedford park IL, so I guess I'm a part time chicago reefer. Any who that's me in a nutshell
Look forward to meeting some new people and learning from a great community.
