I've been lurking a TON of reef forums in the last 3 months. This is the first one I have actually registered on...becase..It's Chicago...I'm still looking for my favorite lfs out here....I've been to several already and I won't mention anywhere specific, but there is one I have grown rather fond of.

you can be specific as too which one you like. there a lot of them around the city and burbs. welcome to the CR family.
 
A little about my tank. It's been up and running for about 3 months. It's a 75 gallon tank. Nothing fancy.
I have a family and responsibilities so for the most part, I have tried to keep the cost as low as I can.

I modded a cpr backpak 2 and it's doing a pretty awesome job skimming. Kind of loud, but effective.

Lights were cheap flourescents, just switched over to LED and it's making a difference.

I'll post some pics tomorrow. The questions are going to start rolling after that. I have a sump that came with it that I want to turn into a fuge...that will be fun.
