Will gfo cause this? Just recently I noticed this on my sunset, the only thing I can think of was I changed out my gfo and doubled my normal amount do to high phosphate, Hanna said.5 two days later bacinto .04. I hope this is not aefw

hey jeff i know if your water is too clean this will happen. Kind of crazy if you ask me. Add some pottassium to your tank to help with this problem. Brightwell sells their version, it's called potassion.
 
tough question. I would leave it alone. But that's just my opinion. I have had white tips on my red milli colony but they have always bounced back. Almost like i get white tips and then new growth. Good luck and happy new year!!
 
Well its not aefw they start at base and leave oval shaped bite marks. Id leave it alone it will grow over it. If u see getting worse then trim
 
sometimes the tips die and algae start to grow, if algae starts to grow, you can trim the tips so they can grow again.
