Hey guys I'm planing to set up a sea horse tank aquatica has tank raised ones so it would be easier to have them anyone has sea horses? How are they doing? How do you keep them healthy and happy?
 
Contact Sayloreef, she's one of the mods and raises seahorses. they are kinda tough. hard to get to eat and keep healthy. I know they need cooler water, so you either need a chiller or keep tank in the basement.
 
be careful do not buy TANKED RAISED(still wild caught)!!!!! buy CAPTIVE BRED
Get seahorses from a local breeder there are a few in the area. The tank needs to be no warmer than 74 or bacteria infections will occur. talk to some local breeders before you buy them. do your research. sea horse dot org has some good info
 
Contact Saylorsreef on here or Peka on reef central. I believe they are both stock from Beth (Peka). I had a pair of her horses for a while and they were fantastic. Captive bred and trained on frozen before she sells them.
