Hi,

I am brand new to the forum and hobby. I just bought a Biocube 29 on Craigslist and performed the upgrades.

1. Protein skimmer in first chamber
2. InTank media rack with filter floss, purigen, and chemi pure
3. Two strips of Ecoxotic Panorama LED lights and upgraded fans

Here is a picture of my tank. I am already thinking about upgrading to something bigger since the Biocube 29 is mostly already maxed out in terms of fish and corals =). BTW, I just realized a few days ago that my uncle is very into the reef hobby. He's actually a moderator on this forum, maidia.

Thanks,

Maybe I can buy her a purse and she will let me move the biocube 29 to my office and put a 75 gal in the living room.

Anyone here use the Ecoxotic Panorama LEDs? Should I add the stunners LED strips? I currently have the two strips.

1) Panorama Pro LED Module 24V- 12K White/445nm Blue with Reflector
2) Panorama Pro LED Module 24V- 445nm Blue with Reflector

How many watt your light now?

I read some where people said for soft corals 1w per gallon and SPS 3 or 4 watt per gallon. Your tank look like enough...You can add one more Leds strip if you want.

I will stop by this next weekend to see your tank.

Looking good! Have you tried gettig the reflectors for the panorama strips? I used them on the stunners and they added a ton of intensity by focusing the light and catching the spill. The ecoxotic strips all use very wide primary optics.

Welcome!

I think my strips already come with the reflectors. On top of that, I am also using the existing biocube power pc reflector.

This is my tank after adding more zoas (courtesy of maidia) and clam. I think I will get rid of the button polyps and frogspawn in upper left to make room for more premium corals. After 2 months of being in the hobby, I think I can say I am addicted.
