Holy smackdown!

I called the fire dept last night. They came out and couldnt do anything about it. I was hoping they'd tow the tree with their truck :)
Its Sinday, so its gonna be hard to find a business open that would cut it down

Just a heads up. If you cut the tree then it falls on your neighbor's house you are responsible. If the wind does it then they are.

Who cuts trees down on a Sunday. My tree is about to crash down into my neighbors house!
About to? It already did lol. Hope you find some one bro , worst case you can probably use a come-a-long or strap with a ratchet to pull it away from the house till somebody comes to chop it up.

Good to know , I did not know that. Is that something that applys to certain county's or in general to everyone?

If you can get up on his roof with some rope, you'd probably be able to pull it the opposite way from your yard (Hurray for Leverage!). Then, you can pull it down parallel to your fence and go all Texas Chainsaw. :)

funny part of that is, go try and pull a stump out with a truck. wind has no problem, but 500 horses do....

Since u know of the situation And didn't fix the problem u r liable for your neighbors house. I called my insurance company when my tree got hit by lightening and split in half but didn't fall down. And they said since I know of the problem and it is splitting more and more each day I am liable for any damage!! That sob came down w a saws awl that afternoon!! Extension ladder and 200' cord and about 5 hours did the trick. Little sketchy though good luck

ok is noone else going to ask ? Are you trying to hold the tree up with that ladder lol

Haha. Yes. It worked. My neighbor ended up cutting the tree down himself. He didnt want to use his insurance because his deductible is $1000. It doesnt look like his roof is badly damaged. The fence and the ladder held the tree up very well
