As the title says .. .

if i were to get a 3.5 inches royal gramma for my biocube 29 .. would it be like too big ??

probably the biggest fish of all that im gonna get for my biocube ?

also im counting like 7 fish total with this combo for my biocube 29 is that ok ??

2 clowns
one flame haw fish
royal gramma (yet to get)
yellow headed jaw fish (yet to get )
and 2 more fish not yet decided ..

would it be ok ?

They don't really swim much. they just like to go in and out of their little hole, which makes them great nano fishes. You should be fine.

Yea, fine. Unless you end up with an ill tempered aggressive specimen, then all hell will break loose in that small a tank.

Ive had 2 and they do get territorial, but just around their little hole. Having them in a bigger tank is more for the other smaller fishes.

ummm royal gramms can be aggressive ??

In my experience once they set up their territory they will get aggressive towards tank mates that invade that area. In a smaller tank its a lot harder for tankmates to avoid the area and it just further irritates them. Resources say to provide a min 20g tank to calm this behavior but I've had a gramma in a 60g that still became overly aggressive. Basslets and Pseudochromis are just too much a gamble in my experience and just not worth the risk.

i hear you :)

mine is a biocube and being the biggest fish of all ..the chances are good that the gramma might bully my other fish ...

thanks ..
