How can I tell sand is OK for Reef

I bought this sand off FB as I needed to top off my fine sand with some larger particle sand. It looks good but the seller did not know if the sand was used in a medicated tank. I bought over 200lbs and I like it.
How can I check that it is OK to use in my 500g reef DT

Thanks Ted. My tank is up and running doing extremely well. Wanted to add some larger size substrate over my base to prevent it from blowing away when I power up my four MP80s AND
Jim I am contemplating dumping it if I cannot get a solution
How if I put a test quantity in my 12g QT and let it run with few snails and hermits? Is it a good test if everything is good in one week??

You couldn't pay me to put sand of unknown origin in my tank. If I were you if get the reeflakes to put on top and dump what you have.

Ted I fully agree with U. Reefflakes are they coarse enough to not fly around when four MP60 are at full speed. Bought all kinds of sand that I ended up giving it away as not coarse enough

Reef flakes makes an even bigger grain sand, if you want to get an even heavier grain sand.

Osama, no body can check the sand ok or not ok. If you already bought them then clean them up with Vin or muriactic acid, a good clean up after that with RODI water, then put the old water from your main tank into those sand run the heater and pump for a week or so before put in the tank.
