How Many Things Can Take Over My Tank???

Aren't flatworms herbivores, aren't they just eating some of your algae, since you also have an outbreak of that, doesn't that explain the flatworms outbreak. Are flatworms really pests? or beneficial.
Has anyone ever tried Aiptasia X to controll any polyp outbreak? I figured if it works on aiptasia, it shoud work on Polyps, right?

Yes, that's how I generally get rid of them. Eventually, they come back though. Yes, the flatworms are covering the macro algae.

You could definitely zap the cloves. Arrow crabs love flatworms and so do six lines. Good luck getting rid of all of those issues.

I think arrow crabs are the coolest! Can you keep more than one together in a 90g?

Here are some diving pics I've taken of them:

flatworms can get plague like, and munch on everything soft, not just algae. very seriously good luck with that one, i only had 1 flatworm when the tank first started off, and it died a gruesome death of a 1000 flushes.

arrows are not reef safe from everything ive read, once they decimate the invert population, they turn to everything else.

Not sure on the arrow crab pair, but if you do consider tearing it apart and cleaning it hard core let me know. I'll come over and help you out. That was always my FAVORITE part of my childhood cichlid tank. I loved every year or so taking all of the rock out and changing it up completely. The thought of it sucks, but once its done and everything is looking clean and amazing you will be so happy you did it.
That'll never happen. I know you've seen my tank. The coral has so overgrown the rockwork, it is holding it all together. I'd loose too much life doing that.

I think an arrow crab would be pretty easy to catch.

I've never tried two arrow crabs because I was always told that's not a good idea by the lfs. I guess that's a watch and see type of thing. With all the cover in your tank they might be alright as long as they stay away from each other.

I feel you on the flatworms. I have opted not to go with Flatworm Exit and just suck out a cluster every now and then with a turkey baster. For whatever reason they aren't multiplying that much.

I'll go with a wrasse 1st. So far, they're not so bad. Guess I didn't notice them because of the cyano--they're the same color.

very true its how im fighting the cyano in my tank. gradually losing sand in teh process though, sadface.
