How much flow is too much flow?

I recently added a Hydor 750 into my tank(750gph). My tank already had a Mag 5 return(500gph) and a Fluval Sea CP2(450gph). So right now I am looking at about 1700gph. I was planning on getting rid of the CP2 but so far my corals seem to love it. My torches and hammers are getting bigger than ever but my rbta's have been hiding for the most part. They pop out for about an hour and go back in for an hour. Is this overkill for my tank?

hmmm i crease it to the point where there is either sand moving or skirt of zoas and palys begin to flutter in the flow and decrease it a bit..

My zoas are barely moving so I guess I should good.

I'm running around 30X DT volume for flow. I think gph is not as important as having indirect and varied flow. You want random turbulence instead of static one directional flow. Of course avoid dead spots as well. If you're focused on gph, I think 20-40X is a good target for SPS tank.

Good luck.
