How to secure frags temporarily?

I picked up 2 frags Sunday from sho tank.

My other frags I have had a plug that fit in the frag rack, these don't. They keep getting toppled over.

I was thinking zip tie or rubberband for the frag rack. But what about when I test placement of rocks?

get a regular plug and glue em to the other plug

I'd just superglue them directly to the rocks, but that's up to you.

+1 to that. I've used everything from braces rubber bands to mighty putty and I vote for new plug with new superglue.

Yup, the superglue connection is very weak to say the least. I superglue the frags to my live rock and then always end up having to epoxy them in place using the "sandwich" method. Frag-superglue-epoxy-superglue-live rock. Good luck trying to remove that connection lol! It's weird though, the epoxy by itself is weak too. Something about the two layers of superglue on either side of it makes it rock solid! Good luck!

I always feel bad for the frag using all that glue and epoxy! The other thing you can do is secure it to some rock rubble, much more natural than a ceramic plug.
