Icedearth's 75G - The Quest for Lower Nutrients

It's been awhile since I've posted my tank, so I'm going to post some updates. I've been struggling with high nitrates and phosphates for awhile. I've been running biopellets for a few months now, and nothing. I had a refugium but it wasn't doing anything, GFO wasn't working. I stopped feeding as much as I was before. I know my water change regimen hasn't been the best, about 10 gallons every 3-4 weeks.

After selling my foxface, I realized how badly my nutrients were getting out of control because hair algae starting growing like crazy. So I'm tired of it, and I'm finally ready to really get my tank looking gorgeous again. And maybe finally grow some SPS in the tank. I am going to do some major water changes, goal is to replace 100% of the water in a week and a half. I did 20 gallons on thursday, will do 20 gallons today, and will keep going every few days. I'm going to change my water changes to 5-10 gallons a week until I get my nutrients under control. And will then adjust from there.

So here's my current tank shot:

I've also been having a lot of issues with aiptasia, so that's next on my to-do list.

Current equipment list:
-2x IT2040 LEDs (looking to switch to T5s once I have some money)
-Maxspect Gyre XF-130
-Danner Mag 9.5 return pump
-Biopellet reactor
-BRS reactor running GFO
-Eshopps S-120 Skimmer
-Eshopps ATO

Here's some pics of my sump. Pic #1 has the refugium, Pic #2 is my skimmer and biopellet reactor.

Let me know what you think.

I would also clean your sump, get all detritus, sand, rock whatever you have there out, trim your chateo . Put small powerhead in there so chateo is lightly rolling.

You better off with algae eating machine fish. Let algaes suck all the nutrients and fishes can feast on them. Cleaning sump will help too

The chaeto is new, so I'm letting to grow a little bit. I cleaned my sump a few weeks ago, but it is on my cleaning agenda to vacuum it out.

What are your PO4 and NO3 levels? Why do you think pellets aren't working? Is your skimmer adequate?

Last time according to my Red Sea test kits, my NO3 was well over 50ppm, and PO4 is over 5pm.
