I'm a Grandma: New Clownfish fry

My clownfish spawned and the eggs finally hatched into viable youngins! I caught maybe 15 of them and have them in a bucket with an air stone till I put them in the ten gallon breeder. They are now two days old and still swimming. Can I feed them frozen rotifers or do they absolutely require live food?

Congratulation Grandma...:)

How you been? I need to try my clowns too. They laid eggs every week but all :rip:

Right now they are too teeny tiny to be photographed but I will definitely provide updates! And thank you all <3 I may just have to try to hunt down some live rotis for them ;p

Update! So, now the babies are a week old! So far seems most of the ones I caught have survived, as I count 17 of them in my bucket <3 So excited!!

Look up "Pickle's Guide to Clownfish Breeding" if you havent yet already. All the basics plus some good pointers on raising the lil guys. Good luck!

Yes, I have quite the wealth of info on raising fry. I'm an avid reader of all things fish tanks <3 Although admittedly, I wasn't exactly trying to breed my clowns, it sort of just happened ;p The babies are now in the 10 g breeder and live rotis acquired <3 Big momma is my large and in charge 11 yr old ocellaris and my first fish ever. And her boyfriend, little man, is a 3 yr old ocellaris and the only fish she has ever allowed to cohabitate with her in my 30g sumpless. Cougar alert! ;p

So I went to take pics last Friday, and they were all gone :( I think I jinxed them by posting they made it to a week. Would have posted earlier but been dealing with major family stuff <3 next clutch I notice I'll try again <3
