In Naperville with CLEAN live rock rubble?

Still need to pick up lighting, but am getting the cycle started now. Anyone in Naperville with a CLEAN tank (no bryopsis ever/no flatworms/etc) that can spare me some rubble to help my cycle? I can trade you the equivelant in dry rock to replace.

Sorry to be uptight about the clean part, I could never trade frags from my last tank because of these pests and I hated it... want to be as clean as possible, but also need to seed my dry rock/sand.

Build thread still coming... pics have been taken, water in tank but no sand/rock placement yet.

I understand about being clean.. Many of us have learned our lessons in this crazy and beautiful hobby. Including myself :banghead: I now dip everything and could say I'm clean..

But we don't have great eyes to see these pest if hidden.

I have LR in my sump that I will be happy to trade and help out.

But how can we prevent pest if any being transferred? Can we dip in something that won't kill the good bacteria?

Sorry! To side track the thread...

Thanks for the offer, I appreciate it but I'm sure I'll find someone local or will just buy some. And that's not a side track... if there's a way to keep the bacteria, kill the pests dip it would be helpful to know. Actually, a good general pest dip recipe for frags would be helpful (do people make their own still, or is there one to buy now?).

And I know nobody can really know, and what counts as a pest anyhow (I like bristleworms and asterina stars) but if you've seen flatworms in your tank, or you've had to treat bryopsis, just give me a heads up. :) I know I'm asking for handouts and being picky about it at the same time.

Later I'll need to start some critter colonies, so I'll need to grab some pod/worm filled chaeto from someone. Or maybe collect some collonista snails and stomatellas and mini stars... for someone to put a small package of those together for me I'm willing to drive with cash, but want the tank to settle a bit first.
