It's been a bit since I posted anything about my tank and I've made some recent changes, so it's time to start a Member's Tank thread for my Mini 38 display tank.
The tank started in November of 2012 and my Re-Introduction thread shows the reworking of the rock (much less than the original setup). Here's the current skinny on the setup...
Tank - Innovative Marine Mini 38 (rounded corners model)
Flow - 2 x Tunze Nanostream 6055 powerheads controlled by Tunze Wavecontroller 7096.
Lighting - A brand new ReefLED CRI Reef Genesis 3 lighting rig (just installed this past Friday)
Extras - I modded the original filter/sponge holders by replacing them with InTank acrylic models where I'm utilizing filter floss, Purigen, and carbon on one side of the tank and have a chaeto micro-refugium setup on the other side. Heat became an issue with a submerged light, so I'm utilizing a white desk light over the chaeto until I can utilize some method to keep the tank cooler.
The ill-fitting original glass lid was replaced with a custom 1/4" clear mesh lid that I made from a screen replacement kit. End result - no more little spots for jumping fish.
I added an Innovative Marine protein skimmer, a grounding cable, and heater controller several months back.
Fish - McCosker's Flasher Wrasse, Yellow Australian Assessor, 2 x Ocellaris Clowns, Yellow Coral Goby
Inverts - Peppermint Shrimp, assorted snails (tapestry, nerite, nassarius, astra, one big chestnut snail named Big Earl), gray serpent star, red brittle star, feather duster
Corals - A couple of sticks along side a variety of zoanthids, some plating montis, a digi monti, some mushrooms (rics, yumas, and flats), hydnophora, two different birdsnest corals, a neon green Tyree toadstool, neon green branching Aussie hammer coral, three or four different types of Acans, stylophora, blastomussa, a 1" squamosa clam, and probably some other things that I'm missing off the top of my head.
Here's part of the tank...

And here's a nice close-up of the new lighting rig (I'm really pumped about this)

The new light rig replaced three Skyye Lights from Innovative Marine that I had from the tank setup (two actinic and one 14k white). Now, the look of the tank is just rich and the colors are popping all over the place. The rig is so powerful, it had to be set at 25% power and that still kicked out twice what I was getting before. So, after a nice acclimation period of a couple of weeks, I'll start edging that up and shedding a little more light (pun intended) on the tank inhabitants.
Oh - here's a photo of my Blasto under the new lights at 25% power with the flow running...
