Is this a tiny shrimp or a giant copepod?

some amphipod will eat zoas when they get too big...

i've seen peoplel say that, but can't find any evidence. I personally believe they eat zoas as they die from other issues and people misconstrue their scavenging as predation. MHO anyway.

Definitely looks like an amphipod.

Nate has some that look like they were harvested from the shores of the Fukishima reactor! They're gigantic!

They're amphipods.

they don't straight up go and eat zoas, but what happened to me was that a starfish outbreak caused my tank to lose all of its algae ,so the starfish turned and started to eat the skirts of the zoas. The amphipods moved In after them, only eaten what was left of the zoas withought skirts, while right next to them there were perfectly good zoas with skirts and the amphipods left them alone. Afterwards, I got harlequins, the starfish are gone, and the amphipods don't mess with the zoas.

I have tons of these pods . They survive by hiding during the day in rocks and coming out at night when fish sleep
