Haha my 40b finally has a light. I traded a lot of good rock for a light. It was worth it. My wife will kill me if I spend anymore cash right now. I know it's bare now but soon its gonna be full. But first ill be adding a dosing system. Idk how much more my kalk reactor can handle. I'm full in the 75 and I want a lot more coral. I basically took a bunch of coral that took a beating in a old neglected tank and some frags from a buddy to get started. Will be selling out of it in the future. But really added for more of my own sweet sweet coral. Hahahahha don't tell my girl. Here it is. It's a 250 de mh with a 12k geissmann soon to be 14k Phoenix.
 
I think you will be alright at 12".. I love the 14K phoenix bulb DE 250W

Results for me was crazy.. Just hate the fact thats its needs to be replaced after 6-9 months..

WCR sells a bulb also. Will try to post a link soon.
 
How many hours a day u think. I'm running 6 now. And I'm down for a 20k. I just want to make sure I get growth withthe ccolor.
 
6 sounds good!! Sorry, I have no experience with the 20k bulb.. Hope WCR will jump in or send u a PM regarding this product..
