Yeah, but it likes high light and flow. Perhaps you should move it from the sand bed. It will cover that plug in no time.
 
Thank you, I just didnt want to stun it, I just got it today fig, i would move it higher tomorrow or the next day, I have T5s will that be ok?
 
It's a monti so medium light is best. I keep mine in low/medium light. JF Aquaman montis are notorious for losing their deep colors if given too much light. Mine is a good grower after it's comfortable in your tank.
