Jellyfish tank?!

I was on facebook and saw an ad on the side for a website to get a "deal" on a jellyfish tank. WHAT? It seems like if you are clicking a link off of facebook to buy a Jellyfish tank you have zero business starting one. Wouldn't that be like, "ah...maybe I'll start a seahorse tank!" :stupid:

Are you sure it was for real live jellies? I've seen tons of "fake" jellies tanks that are simply no more than a desktop decoration that swirls around little rubber fake jellyfish...

I can't tell...I tried to click the link and it showed me all the tanks but then it put up an ad over the top trying to make me sign up. I couldn't bypass it to check out the tank.

I clicked the link like 15 times trying to read it before the ad popped up and it is supposedly LIVE jellyfish....something about the tank being "custom tailored for the species' survival"

+1 Its most likely a toy. I've seen them advertised almost like real jellies before too. I was looking at stuff on ebay and there were like a thousand sellers of these.

nuts, now I want that! Thanks for sharing. Look how the airstone would cause a rotation effect in the "tank". That is certainly a lot different than the magnetic toy ones I've seen.

I just look at Facebook as another outlet for advertising. Think of all the SW vendors that have FB pages.

+1 keep in mind that facebook know you personally. It's only showing you that because it knows you are an aquarist. Average Joe might not get the same ad.

That's true...what threw me was that it was for this general website of "fab" deals written in this valley girl voice so it didn't seem serious

Made me smile

Your comment made me chuckle. You are so right. So many people who have no clue what they are doing are going to buy that thing. Such a bad idea.
