lighting, How many hours a day

I think this would help a lot of people out, So please give as much info as possible. How many hours a day do you run your lights and do you ramp them up and down ? How many hours at your peak and how many hours ramp up and down? is your system sps or softies. The more people that give info the better we can evaluate what works best. So thanks to everyone that participates

So I ran sps dominant. My moon lights(led) kcicked on at 7:30a ramped up till 10:30 then t5 (supplement) lights kicked on. Then maxed out at 1 till 3 then came down t5 turn off at 6 and leds eventually went out at completely at 11p

10 hours which includes 1 hour sunrise, 8 hours of light, then 1 hour sunset. the 8 hours is consistant lighting kelvin (18k) with same intensity. running radion xr30w gen 3 pro.

I use hybrid lighting of LED & T5

The T5s are ON/OFF from 12:15 to 5:30; shown overlay the LED rampup/rampdown program.

The LEDs are closer to the water than desirable; any more power put to them burns corals. so consider the 45% portion of the program "Full power"

Blues (with four whites per fixture) @ 80% from 1pm till midnight. Whites @ 55% from four until 10pm.

Four ocean revive T247s. I do my lights later in the day because I want to enjoy my tank at night.

Do you use any of the templates like radiant color/high growth or did you do a custom one? about to upgrade to radions interested in seeing what everyones settings are. Im using ocean revive leds now

In all honesty i dont think theres a correct answer for this . To many variables . Color spectrum the kind of corals u have how deep tank is how high your light r of the water what optics if leds what bulbs if t5 and mh sps tanks seem to be even harder as it seems every sps reacts dif i been doing this long time and still playing with lights and time cycles . Just seems light every tank is different ive even seen nutrients play a role in what kinda light cycle u need. As lower nutrient tanks seem to burn corals in higher light tanks again just from my experiences over the yrs
