Well last night I needed a little more RO water to rinse off my rocks and my hydrometer... and of course I got more than I bargained for! Forgot to turn it off and it ran all night into an endless 5 gallon bucket. Woke up with water all over the kitchen, leaked through the floor to the basement in multiple places and went down the drain.

Anyone else have an exciting morning? :to_pick_ones_nose3:
 
That is terrible man. I hope it cleans up ok. I put a piece of PVC across the stairs to remind me when mine is on because I've left it running so many times.

I'm sorry to hear that. I usually set a timer and make sure that I will be around for it filling. I know a couple of people that put float valves on there buckets / water storage tanks.
 
I put my buckets in a mop sink because 90% of the time i forget and my house would be washed down the road by now if i didn't lol
 
I've done that. You're not alone. I just have to keep reminding myself that I have an alarm clock in my pocket. Take out your phone and set it.
 
Lol, good points! I think I'll probably get another float valve for this bucket as well. I have one on a larger bin for mixing the saltwater!

And yeah, I'll set my alarm too! You guys are so smart. =)
