"let my sails go"

i was curious if any one new why my snails keep trying to leave my tank. my perameters are right on the money but the sails are always heading for the top of the tank like a mass migration or they were leaving egypt. my ol lady doesn't like them covering the display glass so i figured i would ask. thanks:slug:
 
Couple of questions:

What are your parameters, including temperature?

What type of snails?

Where did you get them from?
 
Either the water is too warm for them( depending on the type of snail), or they are tidal snails( depending on the type of snail).
 
cirth turbo and i think the other starts with an n. they are from reef cleaners. ph 8.3 no ammonia nitrite or nitrate, temp 79

Got mine from them too, and a lot of them do the same thing. Most are tidal species, which is why they can be shipped without water...
