LFS vs LiveAquaria vs PetCo Online

Who has ordered from Live Aquaria? Yay or nah? I'm worried about the Illinois temps right now being so cold.... Of course I'll be home the day of delivery but I'm still scared. They do have a guarantee which is nice. The LFS that I am looking at do not have what I want in stock, and if I ordered I would have to drive there anyway, take them out of their system and drive home and put them in my QT making for however many tank transfers throughout that week.

Now, pricing is very similar, LiveAquaria has what I want in stock, and would be free shipping.

I just wanted to know if anyone has ordered during winter and had success?

Thanks!

If anything give Liveaquaria the address of a FedEX shipping facility, that way you can pick it up as soon as it arrives at the warehouse instead of it sitting on a cold truck. Bluezooaquatics actually called me once saying it was supposed to be cold the day of delivery and asked if I would prefer to pick it up from a shipping center.

If this is somewhat close to you, I would definitely recommend it, they have other locations as well:

FedEx Ship Center
300 Craig Place
Hillside, Illinois 60162

Otherwise if the weather is really really bad, I think Liveaquaria would hopefully postpone shipping until it got warmer, but I'm not sure if they do or not, I've never ordered from them before.

i order from live aquaria , and diversden portion more often then i want to admit ,and have never had a doa. have lost a fish or 2 but during the 14 day and no issues at all. last order was sat and all are fine . as you stated i would make sure you are home to get the package and get them floating/acclimating. usually my orders get recvd by my wife who throws them in sump and i stary acclimation later that evening . GOOD LUCK !
