For those not aware, I took a trip up to Rhinelander to partake in their very rare Open House Events. I was running on CPT but I was able to still make it to the facility to get a good look at the magic that happens there. I met with Kevin Cohen and was given my own private tour of the facility and a couple hours to pick & choose from the livestock after the public left. It was awesome. The people who run the facilty are the NICEST people I have ever met and they genuinely care about the animals they are stewards to.
The facility is like a crazy mad scientist with OCD lab. There wasn't a single drop of water anywhere outside the troughs and holding tanks. The place is ridiculously clean and well thought-out. The RO/DI system makes 125 gallons an hour of usable water and everything is babied here. The skimmers were taller then me and there's TONS of livestock. I was able to see the mated clowns and cardinals they breed and sell. What you see available online in Divers Den is a tiny fraction of what they actually have in stock and ready to sell. I browsed for a couple hours but that wasn't enough. So I am going back in February.
I'm too tired to do a proper writeup...so just go. Here are some pics to wet your palette.
