Just wanted to get this out there and see if anyone else has had similar issues.
Sunday evening I placed an order via ReefCleaners for a CUC for my 75g tank. It was shipped yesterday and was set to arrive today. I told my mom to be home so she could receive the package. I happened to check my email before going to lunch and saw that the package was delivered via USPS. I checked the details online and it had this comment, "Waiver of signature was exercised at time of delivery." So I texted my mom and told her the package arrived.
She called me and told me that they did not ring the doorbell, knock, or show any sign of dropping off the package. Even though the box said perishable contents, knock on door or ring doorbell.
Luckily it wasn't hot or very cold outside, but this form of unprofessionalism is absurd. How hard is it to ring a doorbell when you drop off a package? You already had to walk the package over, it doesn't take much more to ring the doorbell. Although they were probably mad they had to get out of their truck in the first place.
I just wanted to share my story with everyone and find out if other people had similar issues with a particular courier. I also filed a complaint to USPS about this. Luckily all that was in the package was a CUC and it was nice out. If it was cold/hot and it had fish/corals I would be in a much more unpleasant mood about the situation.
As a side note, one of the bags with an emerald crab burst and my mom said he barely had any water, he is currently recooping in a bin of water. Hopefully he recovers so I can put him in the tank when I get home.
