long lost pistol shrimp

So I'm looking in my tank last night with a flashlight and I look at where it looks like something has been digging under one of the large rocks and what do I see? I see the pistol shrimp I put in there in October of 2009 that I have only seen now for the second time since I put it in there with a yellow watchman goby over two years ago. The goby is since gone and never did pair up with the shrimp but I'm just amazed that the little guy is still alive and well after all this time in hiding. This hobby never ceases to amaze me, every time I look in there I see something different, it kinda makes up for all the $$$$ I spend on this hobby. LOL But all the time I spend sitting in front of the tank staring at it is worth it. I would get a picture but I have only seen it for a total of about 2 1/2 seconds since I put it in there almost 30 months ago.
 
Maybe that's where all those peppermint shrimps have been disappearing to. I was just watching a video of one getting a skunk cleaner shrimp so maybe its been munching on the peppermints. I had 2 for a while then they both just disappeared and I had put 5 in there in the last month and I haven't seen 3 of the 5 at all and the last I seen the other 2 was 3 or 4 days ago.
