Looking for Dehumidifier ideas

I have been using a soleus 40 pint model, however it has a little metal piece that breaks then they dont sell the parts..Ive probably been taxing it a bit too hard to be honest...but really one moving part and its non replacable..... gotta love chinese imports.....i have it rigged to work but am looking for a quality dehumidifier ideally with parts supplier standing behind it.
My system is about 450 gallons total and would love to find a heavier duty type unit....ideally liek wall mountable. Inexpensive options would be great, but realistically I realize that by getting this right my furnace and other items in the house will last longer...besides the obvious, smell of water..

Open to suggestions if anyone has some experience in this arena.
Thanks.

2 dehumidifiers running here all winter. Take in 2g water daily. Of the 2, I prefer the Frigidare. It's much quieter.

if you do then you can run your a/c to control the humidity and your heater to keep the temp where you want it. i used to work for a home automation company that would do this. for the winter you need a special kit to run your a/c under a certain temp. this is probably the best way to go since you may have most of the things to get it done.

I am just curious why youd want to dehumidify your house in the winter... wont it take out the moisture and cause more to evaporate from your tank? I just started woking for a company that makes humidifier water pads and home furnace filters so Im learning about the whole humidity thing.

pas yes dehumidifiers increase evaporation in the winter but its better than stink and mold. in the summer a fan and windo work

i do have central heat, have been tryign to figure out if a heat exchanger, hrv, or a larger or pair of dehumidifiers would be good...the dehumidifer works, but adds heat and noise, i would love an option that ties into my central heat/ central air but im not an hvac guy at all. seems the hrv would be a great device in our climate if im reading the right for all but the summer months
