Looking for some sand to put in my new 5 gallon tank.. Let me knw if u got some close by me..
 
Jeff, I would just use standard sand to start with. With the addition of any LR, it will become live after a certain amount of time. You could use live sand for a seeding purpose but that should only be a cup or so would be required.

Just take a little from your 8 gallon nano and seed the 5 gallon.
